IDF battle lore reserves a special place for the call “Acharai!” – “follow me!” – uttered by commanders who lead their soldiers on a charge into enemy positions. Suicide Bomber Kills 28 at Baghdad Mosque

A suicide bomber killed 28 people including a member of parliament and wounded 37 others at a Sunni mosque in western Baghdad on Sunday.

“A suicide bomber entered Umm al-Qura mosque and blew himself up, killing 28 people and wounding 37,” the official said.

Among the dead were Khaled al-Fahdawi, an MP from western Anbar province allied with the Sunni-backed Iraqiya bloc, he said. Elderly men and children were also among the casualties.

Iranian Accused of Spying for Israel Sentenced to Death

An Iranian man accused of Israeli links has been sentenced to death for killing one of the country’s nuclear scientists, state media has reported.

Majid Jamali Fashi had confessed to the murder of physics professor Massoud Ali Mohammadi, from Tehran University, on 12 January 2010, news agency IRNA said.

Prosecutors accused him of detonating a bomb planted on a motorcycle outside Mr Mohammadi’s home. They said he was paid by Israel’s Mossad spy agency.

The Libyan madman stashed $1.1 billion of government assets in two New York City-based banks.

Investment bank Goldman Sachs is holding onto $604,972,056.56 of Libyan government assets, and JPMorgan Chase has a cool $513,319,668.58, according to a report provided to The Post by the US Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Wells Fargo has $6,098,291.04, and Bank of America has $837,875.85, according to the Libya Sanctions Blocked Assets Report.

Pakistan: Teen Arrested in Kidnap and Mutilation Murder of Child

Police announced on Thursday a teenager responsible for the kidnapping and killing of an eight-year-old child who went missing on August 22 had confessed to the crime.

The mutilated body of the child was recovered from a gunny bag dumped in front of his home in Gobindpura on August 24.
