The UN’s top human rights official has urged the international community to take “immediate measures” to protect civilians in Syria as the death toll from the anti-government unrest rose above 3,000.

Saudi Lingerie Shops Get New Warning Over Male Staff

Shops selling women?s fashion and lingerie in Saudi Arabia have been issued a new warning to stop employing male staff or face being put on a foreign visas blacklist.

Case Dismissed Against Polish Soccer Fans Who Unfurled “Jihad” Banner When Playing Tel Aviv

Polish prosecutors on Friday dismissed a case against Legia Warsaw football fans who had unfurled a massive ‘Jihad Legia’ banner during a recent Europa League game against Israel’s Hapoel Tel Aviv.

Prosecutors said the incident was ‘outragaous’ or scandalous, but that it was not criminal, reported the Polish Press Agency.

The fans unfurled the green banner written in Arabic-style letters during the game on September 29 in the Polish capital.

Aid Workers Kidnapped Near Kenya-Somalia Border

Kenyan authorities say they suspect the Somali militant group Al Shabab is behind the kidnapping of two European aid workers Thursday, the third kidnapping of foreigners near the Kenya-Somali border in the past month.
