A truck en route to Van city center was stopped and looted during a live broadcast on CNNT?rk.
Looters carried items donated by volunteers from around Turkey to their cars and trucks. The video was later broadcasted on daily H?rriyet’s website.
Some women and children were also seen taking supplies from the aid truck, in noticeably smaller?quantities when compared to those who filled their vehicles with looted items.
Van Deputy Mayor Dogar said during the broadcast that gangs have formed around the city after the quake and none of the looters “looked like locals” to him.
