Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) have condemned the massacre of peaceful protesters in Egypt and Syria, and have passed a resolution this week calling for authorities in the nations to do more to protect vulnerable and targeted Christian communities.

UK MP Forced to Hide From Angry Muslim Mob in Mosque Room

An MP has described how he waited for police behind a locked door during a constituency surgery after he was threatened by a group of men.

Mike Freer said it happened at North Finchley mosque in north London as he met constituents on Friday afternoon.

Both legs of a child were blown off by a Taliban-planted roadside bomb in southern Kandahar province, where a joint Afghan-foreign force detained two suspected insurgents, an official said on Thursday.

The mastermind of a deadly bomb attack on a Moroccan cafe in April has been sentenced to death.
