An al-Qaeda-linked Somali militant group has released an audio tape calling for terrorist attacks in a host of countries including Canada.
The tape posted by al-Shabab was allegedly made by an American citizen who blew himself up during an attack on an African Union base in Somalia’s capital on Saturday that killed at least 10 people.

A Muslim group which caused outrage by burning a poppy last Remembrance Sunday is planning further disruption on November 11, with a twisted ‘Hell for Heroes’ campaign.
The demo, which mocks charity for injured soldiers Help for Heroes, is due to take place outside the Royal Albert Hall, the same location where a poppy was burned last year.

The Canadian government is being urged to intervene following the arrest of an Edmonton imam in Saudi Arabia, who witnesses say was attacked by a mob and beaten while attending the hajj.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has warned of an “earthquake” across the Middle East if Western powers intervene in his country.

The Community Mosque of Winston-Salem, which had considered opening a charter school, will go the private-school route instead, according to Imam Khalid Griggs.

At least 11 rockets and mortar shells were fired at southern Israel overnight and early Sunday morning as reports emerged of imminent cease-fire. Most of the projectiles landed in open territory while the Iron Dome system intercepted two Grad rockets fired at Ashdod.
