Rep. Allen West decried the Egyptian presidential election results as proof that the Arab Spring is a “radical Islamic nightmare.”
“A year ago there were those of us who warned the Obama Administration of a Muslim Brotherhood takeover in Egypt,” the Florida Republican wrote on his official Facebook page. “We were castigated as alarmists and loose cannons. Today our predictions have come to reality and the ominous specter reminding us of the Iranian revolution is evident.”
“The Muslim Brotherhood claimed they would [...]READ MORE »
FBI agents arrested Khalid Ali-M Aldawsari because of uncertainties about how much progress he might have made in creating a bomb and that raised concerns about the safety of his neighbors in an upscale Lubbock student apartment complex, the agent in charge of the investigation testified Monday.
In addition, FBI agents tailing Aldawsari the day before his arrest followed him to Levelland, where he met with a friend. They watched him load several unidentified items into his car, Special Agent Michael [...]READ MORE »
Egypt’s newly elected president, Mohammed Morsi, says he will be a “leader for all Egyptians.” That sounds a lot like the sorts of lies his fellow Muslim Brothers have been telling for months, only to renege on them when they can. We ignore the true character and ambitions of the Muslim Brotherhood – in Egypt, elsewhere in the Mideast, in the wider world and here – at our extreme peril.
In fact, the Brothers’ bait-and-switch gambits are standard operating procedure for [...]READ MORE »

In an interview with Today’s Zaman, Fischer praised Austria’s Muslim community for its contributions to the development of Austria.
He also shared his comments on the state of Turkish-Austrian relations, saying they are “excellent.”

Nine young soccer players and fans were killed when a bomb exploded near a pitch in southern Iraq, health officials said, in the latest of a wave of attacks raising fears of a return to widespread sectarian violence.
The explosion in a predominantly Shi’ite Muslim area of the city of Hilla came the same day as police and hospital sources said a roadside bomb killed five people near a pet shop popular with young people in a Sunni Muslim area of [...]READ MORE »
During a Homeland Security committee hearing last week on the “Radicalization of Muslim-Americans,” Texas Congressman Al Green (D) criticized the hearings as biased and unfair to Muslims, suggesting that the only way to justify them is if Congress would also conduct a “hearing on the radicalization of Christians.”
Though his position may seem balanced, in fact, it reveals a dangerous mix of irrationality, moral relativism, and emotionalism—all disastrous traits in a U.S. Congressman. Consider some of Green’s assertions:
I don’t think that [...]READ MORE »

A judge has declined to throw out an unusual state-level terror case against a man charged with plotting to blow up synagogues in New York City.
The ruling came Monday in Ahmed Ferhani’s (pictured left)case.
His lawyers said the prosecution is based on insufficient evidence and dubious police tactics that targeted a mentally unstable man.
The Manhattan district attorney’s office said Ferhani was intent on attacking a synagogue and bought three guns and a grenade to do so. The buy was a sting.

Pakistan said yesterday that seven soldiers were beheaded by Islamist militants who infiltrated from Afghanistan, lashing out at Kabul over cross-border attacks. The protests come with Pakistan under growing US pressure to act against Al-Qaeda-linked safe havens on its own soil and the anti-terror Islamabad-Washington alliance at its lowest ebb since the 9/11 attacks. Pakistan already reported that six soldiers were killed in gunbattles with militants Sunday who crossed from Afghanistan into the northwestern district of Upper Dir, a key [...]READ MORE »

The Arab Spring has spawned a new generation of British-born terrorists after al-Qaeda moved into unstable countries and began training potential bombers for possible attacks on the UK, the head of MI5 warned last night (Monday).
Jonathan Evans said the terrorist network had taken advantage of the revolutions that began last year to spread its influence and create new bases for planning attacks.
British jihadis were known to be receiving training in countries such as Libya and Egypt, mirroring what has happened [...]READ MORE »
The FBI has conducted more than 100 investigations into suspected Islamic extremists within the military, about a dozen of those cases are considered serious.
Officials define that as a case requiring a formal investigation to gather information against suspects who appear to have demonstrated a strong intent to attack military targets. This is the first time the figures have been publicly disclosed.
The FBI and Department of Defense call these cases “insider threats.” They include not just active and reserve military personnel [...]READ MORE »
