A housemaid in Ras Al Khaimah was caught using magic in a bid to please her employers so they will meet all her demands.
Unlike the maid seized in Khor Fakkan after mixing her urine with her employer’s food, the maid in RAK appears to have favored clean magic.
Her Emirati employer told police in the northern emirate that he found talismans, amulets, strange liquids and other items, which he said were used by the maid inside her room to cast a spell on his family.
“The man forced the maid to come with him to the police station, where he told them about her magic rituals,” the Arabic language daily Alkhaleej.
“She confessed that she was trying magic to please her employing family so they will be happy with her and meet all her demands.”
The paper said a court trying the maid on Thursday adjourned hearings until a further date.

Every time I read an article like this it’s very liberating in that it drives home the point that having any, and I emphasize ANY, expectations that Muslims will somehow join the modern world, become civilized and cease their atrocities, is utterly pointless. Hoping, wishing, expecting, dreaming, thinking, praying, etc., that we’ll wake up one day and Muslims will have smiles on their faces, admit their “errors” and promise to live peacefully with us, get educations, stop maiming and killing females, throw their weapons down and all those other things we hope for, is simply delusional on our part and is doing nothing but postponing the inevitable chaos and pain that are coming.
