‘Tweet for Youcef’ Campaign Surpasses 2.7 Million Globally

A Twitter-based campaign launched by the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) to free an imprisoned Iranian pastor is now reaching over 2.7 million people in over 230 countries.

Syrian Civilians Executed in Homs Round-Up as Army Shells Aleppo

The opposition Syrian National Council and activist groups charged on Sunday that pro-government militia summarily executed 10 civilians during a round-up in the flashpoint central city of Homs.

“Militiamen detained nearly 350 people from the Shamas district, assembled them in a courtyard and executed 10 of them,” activist group, the Syrian Revolution General Council, said.

A lawyer from Alexandria has submitted a report to the public prosecutor requesting that Egypt’s Copts be excluded from the committee forming the nation’s new constitution.

Sherif Gadallah claimed that Orthodox Copts are not representative of Egypt’s Christian population because they’re not Nasara, the so-called “true” Christians of Islam’s Qu’ran, a book in which the word ”Christian” never appears.

Since Orthodox Copts are not Nasara, or even Christians, Gadallah said they can be counted as polytheists, which will make Copts non-representative of Egypt’s Christian population.
