One of the UK’s top banks has agreed to pay a settlement to New York regulators over charges it laundered US$250 billion for Iran.
Standard Chartered agreed to pay US$340 million to the New York Department of Financial Services, which alleged last week the bank hid some 60,000 transactions for Iran over the last decade totaling more than US$250 billion.
