A man in Dubai has been jailed for two months after police caught him wearing an abaya, niqab and black gloves and carrying a handbag on a street.
The Dubai Misdemeanour Court convicted the 35-year-old Frenchman, K.K., of cross-dressing.

Facebook pages created by the Hezbollah terror group’s Al-Manar television station have been removed from the site, the Lebanese Daily Star reported on Thursday.

The Free Syrian Army has acquired surface-to-air Stinger missiles but they have not been used yet, a source in the Syrian opposition said.
The U.S.-based source said the missiles were not used against the Syrian Army fighter jet downed last Monday. The source said it was shot down by anti-aircraft guns.

Over a dozen gunmen forced 19 Shia passengers off four buses and shot them at point blank range in the Mansehra district on Thursday, breaking the fragile peace in the region and marking the third such incident in six months.

Families of victims of a deadly 1983 bombing of U.S. Marines in Lebanon filed a lawsuit on Wednesday seeking to hold Standard Chartered Bank and its New York branch accountable.

Eleven people were killed on Thursday in a Black Hawk helicopter crash in southern Afghanistan, including seven U.S. soldiers and three Afghan allies, the NATO-led force in the country said.
