Organisers of a new religious education centre are set to get the keys to their new premises this week after about £165,000 was raised in a month.
Umar Welfare Education Trust said it thought it would be a “great idea” to buy a property in Coventry where pupils could have an Islamic education.
Education centre trustee Munira Nabi said hundreds of children and adults would benefit.
Some fundraising took place at an Eid Eve celebration on Friday.
