The Lebanon report on the murdered U.S. ambassador in Libya, Christopher Stevens, remains unconfirmed.

According to the Lebanese news organization Tayyar.org, citing AFP news sources, U.S. ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens, who was killed by gunmen that stormed the U.S. consulate in Benghazi on Tuesday, was reportedly raped before being murdered. A translation of the report says :

England: Imam Who Sexually Assaulted Two Little Girls, Jailed for 12 months

An Imam from Northamptonshire who sexually assaulted two children he was teaching about the Koran has been jailed for 12 months.

Abdul Matin, 41, of Albert Road, Wellingborough, was previously convicted of abusing two youngsters under the age of 13.

He was put on the sex offenders register and banned from working with children, both for 10 years.

Matin, who was sentenced at Derby Crown Court, was found guilty in July.

He was convicted of seven sexual assaults over 12 months from January 2007.

Egypt’s ex-Prime Minister Gets 3 years in Jail

An Egyptian court on Thursday sentenced former prime minister Ahmed Nazif to three years in prison and to pay a fine of nine million Egyptian pounds ($1.5 million) for illegal enrichment.

Muslim Woman in Russia Sentenced Over ‘Extremist’ Article

A Russian woman was given a suspended jail term by a Moscow court on Thursday for distributing material that prosecutors said contained “calls for terrorism.”

Tatyana Tarasova, a convert to Islam, was convicted of posting an “extremist” article on the Internet when she was chief editor of a website belonging to the Muslim rights group Islamic Committee in 2008. She was given a suspended sentence of one year and six months.
