A Kuwaiti soldier was arrested on charges of raping his daughter for six years before she became 18 years old and told her mother.
The mother took the girl to the police station in Kuwait City, where she told them her father had consistently raped her since she was 12 years old.
The unnamed girl said she could not report him because she was scared after beating her up and his threats to seriously hurt her.
“She told police she had been in a constant state of fear and had no choice but to yield to her father’s whims,” Alwatan daily said.
It said the father, who denied the charges, is undergoing tests along with his daughter to verify whether he raped the girl.
