A Christian group is preparing to launch a campaign to promote interfaith dialogue in opposition to groups who have run ‘anti-Muslim’ ads in the New York subway.
A liberal-leaning Evangelical Christian group, the Sojourners, has created ads to promote love instead of hate in retaliation to a group that has launched a campaign of ads that insult Muslims in the New York subway.
The ads were designed by the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI). The Sojourners say the campaign aims to encourage residents to “Love Your Muslim Neighbors,” the slogan that appears in the advertising.
The Sojourners say they will post their ads wherever AFDI posters appear in the New York City subway system and on buses. The AFDI posters read: “In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man. Support Israel. Defeat Jihad.”
