There is no mistake in the timing of rituals nor is it out of hastiness to perform them. They are stoning the devil now out of keenness to be familiarized with the steps of the pilgrimage rituals and to be pre-acquainted with the entrances and exits of the place.
The walls at which the stones (Jamarat) are hurled are the meeting point of more than 3,000 pilgrims who receive training on the rituals so that when the time comes, they will perform in the most efficient way.
