This book is a must read for all people interested in End Times. You really don’t even have to be a religious person to appreciate Walid Shoebat’s very solid case for his view that the Bible’s Anti-Christ is Islam’s promised Messiah the Al Mahdi. You don’t even have to believe in God to see that his evidence is pretty compelling.

It is extremely detailed and pulls no punches on things. This book by Walid Shoebat is going shake the foundation of what many Bible believers have been told over the last 50 to 100 years. This book is going to help many Christians to better understand what part Islam plays in the End Times. Surely many Christians who have never read about Islam’s Messiah the Al Mahdi are going to be shocked out of their comfort zones by the findings in this book because they have been taught for so long to be looking to Europe for the Anti Christ.

This is a must read book! Many are familiar with her brilliant debate with a Saudi Sheikh on al jazeera television in which she excoriated the coercive violence endemic to the Muslim world. Here she reviews the sources and foundations of that worldview that creates such pathologies. Many accuse her of hating. What I found in her book was a passionate love for Muslims and a desire to open their minds to escape from the oppression that is endemic to Islam…Period. This is a woman who has received hundreds of death threats for simply telling the truth as she experienced it. Having just completed my own careful reading of the Qur’an using Muslim commentaries I affirm that her picture of the message pervasive in the Qur’an is absolutely accurate. She devastates the usual arguments brought against so-called “cherry-picking” of negative things in the Qur’an. Most importantly, she shows, with the acumen of a trained doctor, the results of a consistent application of this world-view to children and adults.

The title of this book is not speaking against Islam or saying that Muslims are hiding some secret about their faith (although there are some difficult points they do not like to discuss much). What the title of the book is referring to is the false notion that the Western multi-culturalists like to peddle: that Islam is principally a religion of peace and that our conflict with them comes from not treating them as if they were another kind of Congregationalist sect.

Because of the centrality of Muhammad to Islam, Spencer takes us through what can be known about the life of Muhammad. However, the Qur’an alone is not enough for that task. The author also uses the Hadith (traditions about Muhammad), and the Sira (a biography of Muhammad written down 150 years after his death). Using these secondary sources helps illuminate what the Qur’an is saying to the believers through their Prophet.

Darwish’s explanation that Islam is not just a religion, but  it is also a political and legal system. Darwish supports this assertion with scriptural statistics as well as concrete examples. Identifying political Islam helps the reader to consider it more objectively. It is not hard to criticize a political or legal system that oppresses people. I can easily see how political Islam encourages such abuses.

Darwish spent her first thirty years in Egypt and understands that “Most Muslims judge Islam by their kind, tolerant Muslim grandparents who prayed five times every day.” But this did not prevent her from seeing extreme human rights abuses enforced through Sharia – which is now declared by forty-five Muslim countries to override the United Nation’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
